Connecting Slack with reviewflowz

If you haven’t already, you’ll need to create a reviewflowz account and set up a review listing you’d like us to track. You can track up to ten review listings on the free trial. Here's a step by step guide

Now that we’re actively tracking at least one listing for you, we need a channel to send new reviews to. You can set that up by going to Integrations > Create a new channel or by following this link

Select “Slack” in the dropdown and click “Connect a Slack channel”

Select the Slack channel you’d like to send reviews to. If you’re logged into multiple workspaces, you can change Slack workspaces using the dropdown in the top right corner

Voilà! We’re in.

All that’s left now is to let us know what kind of notifications you’d like us to send. You can select the review listing(s) you want us to notify you for, and set a rating filter.

For example, if you’d like to receive only reviews with a rating of 3 / 5 or less.

Hit Save and activate, and we’ll send every review that matches your filters to your Slack channel.

If you haven’t set any filter, we’ll send every new review.

Interactive notifications

The review notifications come with a few options, depending on how your account is set up.

Translating reviews

You can ask for a translation of the review by clicking the language select dropdown and selecting the language you want to translate the review in. We'll send the review translation in a thread, under the review notification.

Tagging reviews

There are 2 types of tags on Reviewflowz. AI generated tags, and manual tags. You can define those in your account settings, under the "Tags" section. If you have defined tags, you'll be able to update, add, or remove tags for every review, directly from the Slack notification. Clicking update tags will open a modal in Slack, allowing you to update the tag list.

Replying to reviews

At this time, we support direct replies for Google My Business reviews. If your reviewflowz account is connected to a GMB account, you can reply to google reviews directly from Slack. Clicking "Reply" will open a modal, with an option to ask for an AI-generated reply suggestion. Our AI-generated replies are suggestions and may not always be accurate. You should always review and edit responses as needed before sending them.

For all other review platforms, the reply option will send you to a login-protected page on the review platform, allowing you to reply directly from their back-office.

Accessing the full review

All review notifications come with a link to the review. While we make the link as direct as possible, it might go to a list of reviews, or a login-protected page for some platforms.

Using our AI assistant in Slack

At any point in time, on any public channel or public thread, you can ask a question to our AI assistant Lenny, by starting your message with @reviewflowz. For privacy reasons, the assistant will not have access to the context of the conversation (if any), but you can give it details as you see fit to make the response as accurate as possible.

Your AI assistant is connected to your reviewflowz account, and has access to all of your account's review data. You can use it to find specific reviews mentioning specific pain points or selling points, to quickly access aggregate information, or to help you craft compelling copy.

Troubleshooting

Slack allows up to 10 apps on free plans, so if you’ve already hit that threshold you’ll need to either upgrade, or remove one of your apps.

To remove an app, head over to the Slack app directory and remove the apps you’re not actively using.

You might need to get in touch with a Slack administrator at your company if you’re not authorized to do that.

Feel free to reach out if you encounter any issues, we’re available over email at hello@reviewflowz.com or you can chat with us both on the app and the main website.
