Reviewflowz connects to Claude and ChatGPT as a custom connector, also called an MCP server. You add one URL, https://app.reviewflowz.com/mcp/tools, sign in to Reviewflowz and approve access. There's no API key to copy.
Once connected, your assistant reads your reviews from the 200+ review platforms Reviewflowz supports, along with your statistics and reports. With your approval it can also tag reviews, assign teammates to reviews and save custom reports. It never posts a reply for you. Each connection reads one Reviewflowz account.
Connected before 23 September 2026? Your connection still reads, but you need to reconnect once before your assistant can make changes.
What you need before you start
Claude and ChatGPT both reach Reviewflowz through the same server, but they don't set it up the same way. Here's what each one needs:

On the Reviewflowz side, any plan works, trials included, and any user on the account can connect. The connector only sees what your own access lets you see in Reviewflowz.
Have two things ready:
The server URL:
https://app.reviewflowz.com/mcp/toolsA signed in Reviewflowz tab in the same browser. If you're signed out when you connect, Reviewflowz sends you to its dashboard after you log in, and you have to click Connect a second time.
Connect Reviewflowz to Claude
1. In Claude, open Customize in the sidebar and select the Connectors tab. Click Add, then Add custom connector.
2. Name it Reviewflowz, paste https://app.reviewflowz.com/mcp/tools into MCP server URL and click Continue.
3. Claude checks the server and preselects Sign in now and Register automatically. Keep both, since there's no client ID or secret to enter, and click Add. If your dialog shows Advanced settings on the first screen instead, leave it empty and click Add.
4. Claude opens the connector's page and says you're not connected yet. Click Connect. The Reviewflowz consent screen opens, and the section below walks through it. Approve it and you land back in Claude, connected.
5. In a chat, click +, hover Connectors and check that Reviewflowz is switched on. Then ask your question.
On a Team or Enterprise plan
Members can't add a custom connector themselves, so an Owner does it once for everyone:
The Owner opens Organization settings > Connectors, clicks Add, hovers Custom and selects Web.
They enter the same server URL and click Add.
Each member then opens Customize > Connectors, finds Reviewflowz with its Custom label and clicks Connect.
Connect Reviewflowz to ChatGPT
ChatGPT only lets you add your own connector in Developer mode, so that comes first.
1. Open Settings > Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
2. Open Plugins in the sidebar, select + at the top right, then Create app. In the window that opens, select Create MCP App.
3. Name it Reviewflowz. Leave Connection on Server URL and paste https://app.reviewflowz.com/mcp/tools. Keep Authentication on OAuth and leave Advanced OAuth settings as they are. Tick I understand and want to continue and select Create.
4. ChatGPT asks you to add Reviewflowz. Select Sign in with Reviewflowz, which opens the same consent screen as Claude does.
5. In a chat, type @Reviewflowz, pick it from the list and ask your question.
On Business, only an admin or owner can use Developer mode. They create the connector and publish it, and members then connect it from their own settings.
What the Reviewflowz consent screen asks for
Whichever assistant you use, connecting ends on this screen. It belongs to Reviewflowz, not to Claude or ChatGPT, and it's where you decide what the assistant can do.
It holds three things:
Two permissions. "Read your Reviewflowz reviews, reports and statistics" and "Tag reviews, assign teammates to reviews and create reports in your Reviewflowz account". They come as a pair: Authorize approves both, and there's no way to approve only one.
Which account should it read? This only appears if you belong to more than one Reviewflowz account. One connection reads one account, so to read another you add the connector again and pick it there.
Authorize or Deny. Authorize sends you back to your assistant, connected.
The connector never posts a reply to a review platform, never saves a reply draft, never deletes a review or a tag from your account's tag list, and never touches your settings, billing or users.
Reconnect a connection made before 23 September 2026
Before that date the connector could only read, so older connections hold the reading permission alone. They keep reading as before. But the first time you ask for a change, the assistant stops and relays a message like this one:
tag_review changes data in your Reviewflowz account, and this connection was authorized to read only. Reconnect the Reviewflowz connector and approve permission to make changes.
Reconnecting once fixes it for good:

Ask your first questions, and approve changes
The quickest check that everything works is a plain question. Here are three to start with, one of each kind:
"What's my average rating and reply rate this quarter?" The assistant returns your average score, star breakdown and reply rate for the quarter.
"Build me a table of reply rate by location for the last 30 days." It runs a report and returns the rows. Nothing is saved.
"Tag that review Billing issue." This one changes your account.
Each assistant decides when to ask before it uses a tool, and they don't start from the same place.
Claude asks before every tool by default, reads included. Each request names the tool and, for a change, describes the review in plain words: the reviewer, the rating and the platform. Click Allow once, Always allow or Decline.
To stop Claude asking before every read, open Customize > Connectors > Reviewflowz. The tools come in two groups, Read-only tools and Write/delete tools, and you can set each group to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked.
ChatGPT starts on Allow low-risk tools, so some changes run without asking. In our test, adding a tag went straight through, while removing one showed an approval with Always allow, Deny and Allow once. If you want ChatGPT to confirm every change, open Settings > Plugins > Reviewflowz, select Permissions and choose Allow read tools.

Switch account, disconnect or revoke access
Each of these takes one step:
Switch account. Add the connector again and pick the other account on the consent screen.
Disconnect. In Claude, open Customize > Connectors > Reviewflowz and click Disconnect. In ChatGPT, open Settings > Plugins > Reviewflowz, then the ••• menu, and select Disconnect.
Revoke from Reviewflowz. Open your authorized applications and click Revoke next to Claude or ChatGPT. Access stops at once. Claude can appear more than once, because each new connection registers again.
Reviewflowz never receives your conversation, only the tool requests your assistant sends. The privacy policy covers what is stored and for how long.
