When you register a check-out in Amenitiz for a guest who booked directly, Reviewflowz asks that guest for a review. The review that comes back is matched to the stay and the property it was at.
How it works
You register the check-out in Amenitiz: Register Check-out on the guest's room, or Check-out on the Departures page.
At the next hourly read, Reviewflowz picks up the stay and the guest.
The request goes out after your delay.
The guest's review is matched to the stay and its property.
What triggers a request
Trigger | When it fires | Who is asked |
A guest who booked directly checks out | You register the check-out in Amenitiz | The guest on the room |
The trigger is on from the moment Amenitiz is connected and feeds one request, Amenitiz review requests. The guest is asked by the email or phone on the booking. Guests who booked through a channel, such as Booking.com, Airbnb or Expedia, are never messaged, and neither are guests when your business or the property is in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, or when the guest is from there. At Lumen Stays, Casa Lumen Lisboa's guests are kept for matching only, while Riad Lumen's direct guests are asked.
Check-outs from before you connected are imported so their reviews still match. Nobody is messaged for those.
Connect Amenitiz
You connect with an API credential you create in Amenitiz. No Amenitiz approval is needed:
Plan. The Amenitiz API comes with the Advanced plan.
Who. Only the account owner can create a credential.
If Settings has no API credentials. The API is still rolling out: ask Amenitiz support to switch it on for your account, then come back to these steps. Amenitiz's own guide is How to understand the Amenitiz API.
In Amenitiz, open Settings, then API credentials, and press New credential. Name it Reviewflowz. Under What can it read?, tick Room types and rooms and Bookings and guest details, pick your properties, and confirm. On Credential created, copy the CLIENT ID and the SECRET. Your other credentials keep working as they are.
In Reviewflowz, open Integrations, go to the Automate Review Requests tab and click the Amenitiz card. If you already have an integration connected there, click Connect another integration first. Paste them into Client ID and Secret and click Connect Amenitiz. The Connection card lists your Amenitiz properties with Status: Connected.
Link your properties to locations
Under Properties, give each Property in Amenitiz the Reviewflowz location whose review profiles its guests should see. Lumen Stays links Riad Lumen and Casa Lumen Lisboa to their own locations. A property you leave unlinked isn't read. If your Reviewflowz account has one location, every property is linked to it for you when you connect. Added a property to the credential later? Click Refresh list and link it.
Set up the request
Timing. A stay counts from the moment you register the check-out, and your delay comes on top. Lumen Stays emails 3 hours later, then sends a reminder 3 days after that with the subject "A minute for Lumen Stays, {{first_name}}?" and the button "Leave a review". Follow-ups stop once a guest clicks, reviews or unsubscribes.
Channel. Email, SMS or WhatsApp, set per message.
Message. Lumen Stays' From name is "Lumen Stays", the Subject "How was your stay, {{first_name}}?", which Avery Bennett reads as "How was your stay, Avery?", and the Button text "Review your stay". Try yours with Send myself a test.
Direct reviews to. Smart routing gives one button, and your goal for reviews decides which site it opens. Lumen Stays aims for as many Google and Tripadvisor reviews as possible. Show all options on the email lists every site instead.
Turn it on
Open Amenitiz review requests and click Turn requests on. The status line reads "Sending requests to every new contact", and the Syncing panel's Sending requests for check-outs after you connected on shows the day you connected.
When a booking or a check-out is cancelled
If a booking is cancelled, or you use Cancel Check-out in Amenitiz, before the request goes out, the request is withdrawn. If you used Cancel Check-out and then register the check-out again before the request would have gone out, the request comes back.
See what it brings back
Every review is matched to the guest and the stay it came from, at the property it belongs to. The Requests page counts Contacts, Requests, Clicked CTA, Matched and Stopped, and lists each guest with the state of their request. The CRM Integration widget under Reports > Dashboard tracks requests, links clicked and reviews matched from Amenitiz.
Good to know
Keep the Reviewflowz credential in Amenitiz. If the Connection card turns red, create a new credential under Settings, then API credentials, with the same two areas ticked, and enter it with Enter new credentials. Your property links and your request stay as they are.
Lost the secret? Open the credential again in Amenitiz: it shows the secret after checking your password.
The Syncing panel counts stays nobody could be asked, such as a channel booking or a guest with no email or phone. They're still kept, so their reviews are matched.
Disconnect stops the reads and withdraws every request that hasn't gone out.
