Hospitable integration: review requests after a guest who booked directly checks out

Connect Hospitable by signing in, ask guests who booked directly for a review after they check out, and match every stay, Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com included, to its review.

When a guest who booked directly checks out, Reviewflowz asks that guest for a review, and every stay at a property you link in Hospitable is matched to the review it brings, Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com stays included. The review is tied to the stay and the property it was at.

How it works

  1. A guest who booked directly checks out: the reservation's check-out time has passed in Hospitable.

  2. Within the hour, Reviewflowz reads the stay and the guest, and a reservation Hospitable reports as changed is read again straight away.

  3. The request goes out after your delay.

  4. The guest's review is matched to the stay and its property.

What triggers a request

Trigger

When it fires

Who is asked

A guest who booked directly checks out

The check-out time of an accepted direct or manual reservation has passed

The guest on the reservation

The trigger is on from the moment Hospitable is connected and feeds one request, Hospitable review requests. Reservations made on your Hospitable Direct site, or entered by you in Hospitable, are asked, by the email and phone on the reservation. Stays booked through Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com or any other channel are never messaged: they are kept so the review that guest leaves is matched to the stay. Guests aren't asked when your business or the property is in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, or when the guest is from there.

Check-outs from the 90 days before you connected are imported so their reviews still match. Nobody is messaged for those.

Connect Hospitable

You connect by signing in to Hospitable. Nothing to copy, paste or create:

  • Plan. A Hospitable plan with Integrations: Host, Professional or Mogul.

  • Who. Sign in to Hospitable as the account owner or a full-access admin. Hospitable's own page is Connected Integrations.

In Reviewflowz, open Integrations, go to the Automate Review Requests tab and click the Hospitable card. If you already have an integration connected there, click Connect another integration first. Hospitable's own page opens: sign in and click Authorize. You come back to Reviewflowz with the Connection card showing your Hospitable account and its Hospitable properties with Status: Connected. In Hospitable, Reviewflowz now appears under Integrations, then Connected Integrations.

Link your properties to locations

Under Properties, give each Property in Hospitable the Reviewflowz location whose review profiles its guests should see. Driftwood Stays links Driftwood Cottage in Chatham and Juniper Ridge Cabin in Asheville to their own locations. A property you leave unlinked isn't read. If your Reviewflowz account has one location, every property is linked to it for you the first time you connect. Added a listing in Hospitable? Click Refresh list and link it.

Set up the request

  • Timing. A stay counts from its check-out time, and your delay comes on top. Driftwood Stays emails 3 hours later, then sends a reminder 3 days after that with the subject "A minute for Driftwood Stays, {{first_name}}?" and the button "Leave a review". Follow-ups stop once a guest clicks, reviews or unsubscribes.

  • Channel. Email, SMS or WhatsApp, set per message.

  • Message. Driftwood Stays' From name is "Driftwood Stays", the Subject "How was your stay, {{first_name}}?", which Avery Bennett reads as "How was your stay, Avery?", and the Button text "Review your stay". Try yours with Send myself a test.

  • Direct reviews to. Smart routing gives one button, and your goal for reviews decides which site it opens. Driftwood Stays aims for as many Booking.com and Google reviews as possible. Show all options on the email lists every site instead.

Turn it on

Open Hospitable review requests and click Turn requests on. The status line reads "Sending requests to every new contact", and the Syncing panel's Sending requests for check-outs after you connected on shows the day you connected.

When a reservation is cancelled

If a reservation is cancelled before its request goes out, the request is withdrawn.

See what it brings back

Reviews are matched to the guest and the stay they came from, at the property it belongs to, whether the guest booked directly or through Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com. The Requests page counts Contacts, Requests, Clicked CTA, Matched and Stopped, and lists each guest with the state of their request. The CRM Integration widget under Reports > Dashboard tracks requests, links clicked and reviews matched from Hospitable.

Good to know

  • If the card reads Reconnect needed, Hospitable no longer accepts the connection. Click Authorize Hospitable again, signed in as the account owner or a full-access admin. Your property links and your request stay as they are.

  • The Syncing panel counts stays nobody could be asked, such as a channel booking or a guest with no email or phone. They're still kept, so their reviews are matched.

  • Updates from Hospitable on the Syncing panel reads Active once Hospitable is connected.

  • Disconnect stops the reads and withdraws every request that hasn't gone out.
