When a booking's activity ends in FareHarbor, Reviewflowz asks the guest for a review. The review that comes back is matched to the booking and its activity, and credited to the guides who ran it.
How it works
A guest books an activity in FareHarbor, and FareHarbor sends us the booking.
Once the activity's end time has passed, Reviewflowz picks the booking up within the hour.
The request goes out after your delay.
The guest's review is matched to the booking, the activity and its guides.
What triggers a request
Trigger | When it fires | Who is asked |
A booking's activity ends | The activity's end time has passed | The guest on the booking |
The trigger is switched on when you finish setup and feeds one request, FareHarbor activity ended. Each guest is asked once, after the activity ends.
Bookings that come in through a reseller or an online travel agency, such as Viator or GetYourGuide, are kept so their reviews still match, but those guests are never asked. When your business or the guest is in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, the guest is asked by email, and only when they opted in to your emails when they booked.
Connect FareHarbor
There's no key to ask for. You add a webhook in FareHarbor and paste the URL Reviewflowz gives you. You need a FareHarbor user who can open Settings > Users & Permissions and see the Webhooks tab on a user. If the Webhooks tab isn't there, ask FareHarbor Support to show it, and paste this:
Please make the Webhooks tab visible on my user so I can add a booking webhook for Reviewflowz.
In Reviewflowz, open Integrations, go to Automate Review Requests > Connect another integration and click the FareHarbor card. The Finish connecting FareHarbor panel shows your Webhook URL. Click to copy it.
In FareHarbor, go to Settings, then Users & Permissions, and select a user. On the Webhooks tab, click + Add webhook and fill in:
Webhook name: Reviewflowz.
Webhook schema: keep the default Bookings only, not Bookings only (Optimized).
Webhook URL: the URL you copied.
Trigger for: select Updated bookings.
Click Create. FareHarbor's guides to configuring webhooks and webhooks in general show the same screens.
Back in Reviewflowz, change something small on any FareHarbor booking, such as its note, so FareHarbor sends it. Press Check status: the panel names the guest, the activity and your company, and whether the booking has an email and a phone. Harborline Kayak Tours sees Marcus Webb's Mission Bay Paddleboard Lesson arrive. Then press Finish setup. From that moment, guests are asked about every activity that ends after it.
Link your activities to locations
Under Activities, give each Activity in FareHarbor the Reviewflowz location whose review page its guests should see. An activity appears after its first booking arrives. Harborline links the Sunset Sea Cave Kayak Tour to its La Jolla location and the Mission Bay Paddleboard Lesson to Mission Bay. An activity you leave unlinked uses the Fall back to location. With one location, everything lands there and there's nothing to link. Click Refresh list to see newly booked activities.
Set up the request
Timing. An activity counts from its end time, and your delay comes on top. Harborline emails 3 hours after the tour, then sends a reminder 3 days later with the subject "One more thing about your paddle, {{first_name}}". Up to 3 messages, and follow-ups stop once a guest clicks, reviews or unsubscribes.
Channel. Email, SMS or WhatsApp, one per request.
Message. Harborline's From name is "Harborline Kayak Tours", the Subject "How was the water, {{first_name}}?", which Ethan Park reads as "How was the water, Ethan?", and the Button text "Review your tour". Try yours with Send myself a test.
Direct reviews to. Smart routing gives one button and picks the site per guest. Harborline aims for as many Google reviews as possible. Show all options on the email lists every site instead.
Turn it on
Open FareHarbor activity ended and click Turn requests on. The Syncing panel's Asking about activities that end after shows the day you finished setup.
When a booking is cancelled or rebooked
If a booking is cancelled, rebooked or every guest on it is checked in as a no-show before its request goes out, the request is withdrawn.
See what it brings back
A review is credited to every guide on the booking, by their FareHarbor username. Caleb Quinn's 4-star Google review of the Harborline tour is credited to Marisol Vega. The Team Attribution Leaderboard under Reports > Dashboard ranks your guides by the reviews they earn.
The Requests page counts Contacts, Requests, Clicked CTA, Matched and Stopped. The CRM Integration widget tracks requests, links clicked and reviews matched from FareHarbor.
Good to know
Keep the Webhook URL private: anyone with it can send bookings to your account. Generate a new URL replaces it, and the old one stops working right away. Add the new one as a webhook in FareHarbor and delete the old one.
If nothing has arrived from FareHarbor for a while, a gray notice asks you to check that the Reviewflowz webhook is still on the user's Webhooks tab, with the Updated bookings trigger.
Use a live FareHarbor company: a demo-mode company sends no webhooks.
Disconnect stops the URL and withdraws every request that hasn't gone out. Your contacts and activity links stay. Delete the Reviewflowz webhook in FareHarbor too. Reconnecting gives you a new URL.
